Each Aggie Matters is UC Davis' Mental Health Movement uniting the campus community in an open and affirming dialogue about mental health. This Movement brings together students, scholars, staff, faculty, and other UC Davis affiliates to collectively raise mental health awareness, de-stigmatize mental illness and cultivate mental health as a state of flourishing.
Each Aggie Matters is dedicated to:
- Educating the campus community about mental health
- Prioritizing the needs of the whole student so that each Aggie can flourish through engaging and supportive learning environments
- Providing resources for mental health support
- Bringing together the campus community through shared experiences and self-reflection
Each Aggie Matters acknowledges that we as individuals are faced with new challenges and experiences as a part of collegiate life. At UC Davis, the Each Aggie Matters Movement breaks down barriers, embraces cultural diversity and empowers individuals to navigate through the unique struggles of being a university student in today's society. We understand that students may experience feelings such as stress, loneliness and anxiety and we want them to know that they are not alone in these experiences. The Movement also elevates the conversation about how to embrace mental health and support ways to flourish through fostering gratitude, mindfulness and self-acceptance. By joining the Movement, you join a community of like-minded individuals who passionately support mental health at UC Davis!
Together, we are creating a campus where Each Aggie Matters.
The Each Aggie Matters Movement was founded in 2014 through a collaborative partnership with Each Mind Matters, California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), and Proposition 63, the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).
